We help clients and investors build boards and senior management teams. This is for present and future business needs, including succession planning, funding for growth and exit strategies.
We have a fantastic network of executive and non executive talent. We have considerable reach and access to business intelligence and corporate research through our professional affiliations, as well as online search tools.
We actively spend time getting to know candidates well in advance of specific recruitment assignments and usually only deal with people we have met face to face. However, given the current crisis this policy has been suspended and we are actively using online video conferencing and resources to ensure continuity for our clients and candidates.
We are always interested in hearing from individuals who would like to get into our market, particularly if you have worked in a PE/VC environment and been though some kind of transaction or liquidity event as an Executive Director or NED in an MBI, MBO or flotation.

Tim Hastings - Managing Partner
Tim has over 20 years board level search experience, having spent his early career at KPMG and EY. With an excellent reputation for delivery, he works closely with investors and business owners, placing CEOs and SMTs into a variety of fast growing entrepreneurial businesses, often PE or VC backed.
Tim's experience encompasses the complete investment cycle from pre-transaction, through funding and scale-up and on to successful exit.
This has given him a very robust network of investors (institutional and private), HNWIs, family offices and NEDs.
Joe Thomsett - Partner
Joe is a creative, practical, strategic, cross domain thinker. He helps scale-up founders and boards plot a route to commercial success and investor readiness.
He has a unique blend of skills that includes an understanding of business models, risk and capital management, the maths of business, business development, marketing principles and strategy, content creation and distribution tools, stakeholder management and story telling.
He started life as a Chartered Accountant at a top 50 firm; before moving into SME management consultancy and business strategy
Daryl Woodhouse - Partner
Daryl is a 26-time award-winning adviser & entrepreneur, speaker and trainer. He has 19 years experience helping entrepreneurs, business leaders and their employees achieve a healthy work-life balance, mental fitness, productivity and business growth.
His FTSE Top 10 leadership career combined with success building his own mentoring and training company with success stories helping companies to scale up, which enables Daryl to do what he loves: help many others to reduce stress, live happier and enjoy improved business results.
In more recent years Daryl has spent more of his time as a value adding portfolio NED, Keynote speaker, Business School lecturer, and investor in a number of technology businesses whilst being a proud, hands-on Daddy to his three children.
Katie Maycock - Partner
Katie is a Business Coach and Mentor for
C Suite-level executives as well as a professional speaker with 10 years of corporate sales experience.
She started her career within the recruitment industry and has since worked in every facet of sales, namely Business Development.
She has built her business specifically helping C Suite-level executives to manage their business, stress, health and mindset, creating a strong foundation to scale.
Will Hastings - Partner
Will is the Creative Partner at fh. and originally trained as a graphic designer. His early career was as a Photographer and Videographer which he uses extensively in digital marketing across a broad range of services, principally aimed at the SME market.
In addition to supporting our speaker and dinner events. Will also co-hosts and produces the Ford Hastings podcast, with the first series making the UK top 100 on iTunes. He also launched his own start-up media company called Lightsmiths.
Jane Anderson - Partner
Jane is an experienced business psychologist, leadership advisor and NED. She focuses on organisational and individual growth and development to deliver strategy successfully.
Jane was a founding director of YSC and a key member of the team that built it into a consultancy of international repute and reach. She has over 20 years’ experience winning and then managing global corporate clients as well as other entrepreneurial, PE backed businesses.
